One day Holiday

So here I am in Coolangatta. Last night at around 10:30pm Howie and I thought it would be fun to fly some where. Flights to the Gold Coast were $20 so here we are. It's good to be back. Ryan and I came here for a week in early 2004. I feel like a local now. The little noodle place with cheap Buddies is still around. We didn't shop there though.

We have come here to watch movies and blog. And take digital photos. It's great.

We left home at 5:30am. We left a note for Mum that said "Dear Mum, We've gone on a holiday to the Gold Coast. We'll be back to catch a train to the airport. That cost me more than the flight here. That airport line has an over-inflated sense of self-worth.

We arrived at the airport, checked in with Jetstar (or should it be Jet*, no, it shouldn't), got some breakfast (Boost Juice and a Cheese and Ham Croissant that made my hands smell) and hopped on the plane.

The flight was rather uneventful. I slept most of the way. I think so far I may have had about 5 hours sleep in the past 24 hours. Actually 5 and a half because I slept in the library yesterday, and a little bit in lectures.

I do enjoy flying. I saw Chatswood and a speck of Hornsby from the plane. I think it was Westfield that I saw, like a shining beckon of consumer happiness and glory.

Arriving at the airport we took photos of ourselves on our phones and messaged a few people. Then we walked to Coolangatta CBD. Straight into the shopping centre we marched and straight to the cinema. We watched The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Wasn't too bad, wasn't fantastic either.

After a quick look in Cash Converters and a post card shop, now we are here blogging. Next it's lunch then a bus back to the airport. Lunch will be at a place we found called "Chief's Big Juicy Chicken Burgers" or something like that. Definitely worth flying to Queensland for. We know how to do the important things while on holidays.
